Description

This project provides transportation for seniors and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, who are enrolled with Little City, to places of employment, community activities, Special Olympics regional competitions, and medical appointments.

Description

This project will continue to integrate and coordinate three municipal services, the Cities of Crystal Lake, McHenry and Woodstock, and the McHenry County service. Additionally, it will continue providing services for seniors and people with disabilities in the Village of Lakewood, as well as throughout Greenwood, Dorr, and Nunda Townships. Three service extensions will be included to serve the Fox Lake Metra Station, Valley-Hi nursing home, and the McHenry County Park and Ride lot in the Village of Lake in the Hills.

Description
This project will fund the installation of electronic visual sign systems at 11 non-key ADA Metra stations to facilitate greater mobility for the hearing impaired as well as the general population. The signs will provide real time information about Metra train service
Current Activities
Metra executed a grant for this project with the Federal Transit Administration on June 24, 2013. This grant complements an ICE grant also awarded for the project. Metra expects to put this project out to bid this quarter. Description
This project, as part of the Ride DuPage program provides seniors and individuals with disabilities increased employment opportunities by providing them with transportation to jobs in and outside of their own town and at times that may extend beyond traditional work hours. Seven local governments sponsor the service: City of Naperville, Naperville Township, Lisle Township, Wheatland Township, Village of Glen Ellyn, City of Wheaton, and Milton Township.

Description

These reservation based, curb-to-curb services that pick up general public riders within a specified geographic area of approximately 8 square miles and takes them anywhere within that same area. Three Call-n-Rides will operate in the communities of Park Forest (Rich Township), Tinley Park (Orland Township), and Huntley (Grafton Township). The services will allow reverse commuters to be transported to employment areas within the respective service areas as well as providing connections to Metra stations for the traditional commuter market.

Current Activities

The RTA Board approved this project at the November 2012 meeting. As the next step, Pace will submit an application to the Federal Transit Administration. Pace determined other locations were more suited for the service and plans to implement the project in 2014 according to the following schedule:

Description

This employer-based reverse commute shuttle service will provide connections between the CTA Skokie Swift Dempster station and major employers such as Allstate Insurance (over 8,000 employees) in North Cook County in the Willow Road Corridor (Glenview /Northbrook area).

Description

This project is an expansion of Routes 600 Northwest Express and 610 Prairie Stone Express. With this proposal Route 600 will be bi-directional during peak period weekdays to serve reverse riders going to work and school. Route 610 will also add reverse peak trips on weekdays between Rosemont and a new park-n-ride facility planned for the Prairie Stone Complex in Hoffman Estates.

Current Activities

Bus routes 600 and 610 began providing bi-directional service on August 19, 2013. In addition, a new commuter Park-n-Ride is available at the Prairie Stone complex helping to serve reverse commuters utilizing Route 610. Route 600 provided 8,869 trips and Route 610 provided 12,118 trips in September 2014.

Description

Lake County combined three separate dial-a-ride services, operating in the Central Lake/Shields township area, into one service. The project initially calls for Shields Township to operate separately while the Fremont and Central Lake partners (Fremont Township, Libertyville Township, Villages of Libertyville and Mundelein) are combined. The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in Lake County to seniors and individuals with disabilities residing in Central Lake County. Five municipalities and Lake County sponsor the project.

Description

This dial-a-ride service will operate weekdays in Antioch, Avon, Grant, and Lake Villa townships. A portion of the service will be a flexible route connecting three Metra stations on the NCS Line and Milwaukee District - North Line with residential areas to offer greater access to employment opportunities primarily for individuals with limited mobility and other transit dependent populations. The service expanded its boundaries in December 2012 to include Waconda and Fremont Townships. Lake County implemented the service January 11, 2010.
